In 1900 a group of 35 local businessmen and farmers established Senatobia Bank as a home owned, community bank dedicated to providing banking services in a friendly and effective manner. Most of the shareholders of our holding company, Tate Financial Corporation, reside in Tate County and surrounding areas.

Senatobia Bank was named for the town originally called Senatohoba (meaning White Sycamore, a symbol of rest for the weary) by the local Indians. Now Senatobia is a thriving community with industries, excellent schools (including Northwest Mississippi Community College), churches representing a diversity of denominations, an active arts council and a new city park.
